Here's a glimpse of my work so far. ✨
In the last three years, I've been involved in a diverse range of projects, spanning personal endeavors, freelance work, as well as projects for institutions and organizations. Feel free to explore the case studies and test out the prototypes. Many of these ventures were undertaken individually, showcasing my proficiency in data organization, as well as my capacity to harmonize analytical and creative thought. These experiences highlight my expertise as a researcher, user interface & experience designer, and front-end developer.
Website Redesign
For this project, I was given the opportunity to redesign the Product Detail Page for Puffy.com, focusing on both mobile and desktop versions. My challenge was to address the common user pain point of feeling overwhelmed when choosing a mattress and to present Puffy as a luxury brand. I aimed to simplify the selection process while emphasizing the premium quality of Puffy's products. By leveraging design assets, analyzing competitor strategies, and adhering to best practices, I created a user-centred design that enhances the overall user experience and drives higher conversion rates.
Meditation App
We propose to design a student-centric mental health app aimed at helping students effectively manage stress and anxiety during the demanding middle of the semester. This app addresses the current gaps in the market by offering a personalized, niche-specific solution that is both accessible and cost-effective for students.
Tough Titties | Eunoia UX
My team and I took part in a nationwide design sprint in Canada. During this event, we conducted user research and managed the entire design process to assist our client. Tough Titties Designs, a fashion apparel and stationery venture, was established by Emma Hands. Her passion for crafting, stemming from her background as a graphic and industrial designer, combined with her personal experiences of several women in her life battling breast cancer, inspired the creation of this business.
Santoku Knife Shop
My team and I collaborated with a Japanese knife store named 'Santoku', situated in Vancouver, for an evaluation study project. The objective of the study was to assess the Santoku Knife Store website using various evaluation methods like Heuristics, SUS, and Conceptual Model Extraction, with the aim of comprehending the customers' mental models. Additionally, we aimed to restructure the sitemap, enhance navigation, and redesign the visual layout. The study enabled the client to gain an understanding of the website's design evaluation and recognize areas for enhancement to encourage customers to purchase products or subscribe to services.
H&M vs Zara - A Controlled Experiment
In this study, I compare Zara's and H&M's e-commerce websites to evaluate their user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Focusing on key factors like layout, navigation, and the purchasing process, I aim to identify best practices and improvement areas for Zara. Using a mixed-methods research approach, including usability tests, surveys, and interviews, I provide actionable recommendations for Zara's website to ensure a seamless online shopping experience that meets customer expectations and supports the brand's objectives.
Apple i Case Study
An in-depth, detailed examination of what sets iOS apart from any other smartphone operating system in the world involves a comprehensive exploration of its user interface, interaction patterns, and overall user experience ecosystem. This encompasses an analysis of iOS's intuitive navigation, seamless integration of hardware and software, and its commitment to accessibility standards.
UpToDate App
This is an app my team and I designed to remind seniors (specifically those 75 years or older) to take their medicine daily. It works by synchronizing in real-time with a smart fridge that alarms the user to take their medicine.
VCH Website Redesign
This is my second internship (Jan-Apr) with Vancouver Coastal Health. I have worked alongside a multidisciplinary team and Cosette to redesign the Medical Staff Website. My responsibilities include researching users, collecting and analyzing data, defining potential solutions, ideating, and designing wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and mockups.
SFU Snap App
While pursuing my undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University, I recognized an opportunity to enhance the user experience of the SFU Snap App. This ambition led me to embark on a comprehensive redesign endeavor, encompassing a complete overhaul of the app's user interface, information architecture, and overall user flow. To ensure the success of this project, I diligently conducted surveys and engaged in thorough user research. This process afforded me invaluable insights into the specific needs and preferences of the student body, enabling me to streamline and simplify the user experience for all.
Reel
I conceptualized, crafted, and prototyped an interactive web application interface named "Reel" using Adobe XD, as part of the esteemed Adobe Creative Jam competition. This endeavor culminated in a commendable 25th position out of a formidable pool of 3000 participants, attaining a stellar design rating in the process.
Lets Talk
May is Mental Health Awareness month and I wanted to participate and contribute to it however I could. Therefore I am working on a case study and I am designing an app l allows users to journal their emotions, log feelings and most importantly use the CBT Thought Record framework.
The Productivity App
I spearheaded my Creative team in a user-centric design journey, encompassing thorough research, precise user requirement specification, meticulous design iteration, and comprehensive evaluation phases, all preceding our collaboration with the development team on "The Productivity App."
Notes Of Tomorrow
This is a project I am working on purely out of passion. I want to share the notes, summaries, and ideas of the books I read throughout the year (around 12-15). One of my hobbies includes reading books and so I thought of sharing it with the world, via the internet. My focus was on developing a very aesthetic and pleasing website with minimalistic design, color, and font.
